Willem de Looper Opens at Hemphill

I can never get enough of color field work. If you can’t either then you’re in luck.

This Saturday, January 14th, Hemphill Fine Art presents four large-scale paintings by the other “Willem de.” Looper has a long history with Washington, D.C. and its art scene including curating at the Phillips, studying art at American, showing at Jefferson Place Gallery and being a part of the Washington Color School movement.

I hope to be wowed.

Saturday, January 14th  (through March 12th) at Hemphill Fine Art, 1515 14th St., NW, opening reception from 6:30-8:30pm.
